Pacific Coast Commercial, located in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego, is currently seeking a Full-Time (40 hours/week) Collections Specialist.


Job Summary

Pacific Coast Commercial is looking for a Collection Specialist to join our team. The Collection Specialist will be responsible for maintaining collections and resolving customer complaints.


Essential Duties, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor the firm’s accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.

  • Contact tenants with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments with property owner approval.

  • Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers.

  • Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.

  • Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.

  • Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of collections experience is required in addition to a High School Diploma. Must have experience working in a professional office setting. Must be a team player and have the ability to meet tight deadlines, as well as exhibit a high level of confidentiality, detail-orientation, time management, organizational, written and oral communication, and problem-solving skills. In addition, candidates must have:


Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
