PCC Prospecting Open: Cold Call Golf Power Hour!

Who says prospecting can't be competitive and fun?

Recently, our team here at Pacific Coast Commercial put a creative spin on outreach with the PCC Prospecting Open, a 90-minute "Golf Power Hour" inspired by Justin Ryder, CCIM's Cold Call Golf. The event brought together team members for some friendly competition while sharpening one of the most important skills in commercial real estate: prospecting.

The rules were simple: every call counted as a hole, and results determined your score. Just like on the golf course, everyone was aiming to finish with the lowest score possible.

• Scheduled meeting = Eagle

• Specific follow-up opportunity = Birdie

• Meaningful conversation = Par

• Everything else fell somewhere between a bogey and a double bogey.

Over the course of 90 minutes, the team saw it all, an eagle, a handful of birdies, plenty of pars, and, of course, a few bogeys along the way. More importantly, the event created energy, encouraged consistent outreach, and gave everyone a chance to challenge themselves while having some fun.

A big congratulations goes out to Michael Sikorski, who took home the title and emerged as the champion of the inaugural PCC Prospecting Open. We're happy to report that Michael's performance during Power Hour was significantly better than what he claims it usually is on an actual golf course.

Beyond the leaderboard, the event was a great reminder that prospecting doesn't have to feel like a grind. A little creativity, some friendly competition, and a team willing to jump in can make all the difference in building momentum and staying engaged.
