Prior to joining Pacific Coast Commercial and TCN Worldwide, Jim Taylor was a      Co-Founder and Managing Director of SVN Asset  Advisory Group. Taylor has over 45 years of commercial brokerage experience, specializing in multifamily, investment sales and land development, totaling over $300 million in closed transactions. Taylor joined Sperry Van Ness the predecessor to SVN, as a Senior Associate and Team Leader quickly rising to Senior Vice President.

 

Jim joined SVN in 1997 and has earned the Esteemed Partners Circle Award (for highest commissions earned) a record seven times, as well as the Achievers Award, three times, Highest Commission Award, Team Player, Pacesetters, five time, Humanitarian of the year, 4400 club and the Wall Street  Journals, SVN Best in Nation.

 

Jim is a past Director of the San Diego Association of Realtors, immediate past-president of the Commercial Real Estate Alliance (the commercial division of SDAR), and three time past president of the Commercial Realtors Association of San Diego. He consistently remains active in the industry, and has served on the boards of directors for CCIM/San Diego and the San Diego Receivers Forum.

 

A third generation San Diegan, Jim Taylor entered the real estate development and brokerage business in 1976 while attending San Diego State University. Jim has been involved in a broad range of real estate transactions over the past four decades, and is a court-approved expert witness in realty transactions and  valuation. He also co-founded numerous San Diego real estate brokerages, including Foreclosure Sale Services, Cal West Properties, West End Realty Corp., and Mission Valley Investment Brokers. Jim is frequently quoted in newspapers, magazines, and trade journals, including the San Diego Business Journal, the San Diego Daily Transcript, Commercial Property News, Southern California Real Estate Magazine, and Globe Street Magazine. Jim is also an ongoing guest expert on KOGO San Diego’s Real Estate Today radio program. Jim Taylor was recently honored as the San Diego Daily Transcript’s 2012 San Diego’s most Influential.
